XREAL unveiled its latest Augmented Reality (AR) glasses – the XREAL Air 2 and Air 2 Pro in China. The two feature better ergonomics and display than their predecessors.
XREAL Air 2 and Air 2 Pro
The XREAL Air 2 features a 0.55-inch Sony micro-OLED microdisplay with a 4032ppi, a 21% increase from its predecessor. Meanwhile, the company has also improved the Jinghong Ruiying 3.0 optical engine to ensure better color accuracy. The glasses also received its TÜV Rheinland certification, making it safer for your eyes.
Additionally, it is made from magnesium alloy making it lighter and more ergonomic along with a “zero-pressure air cushion nose pad” for added comfort. The glasses themselves also have X-Spatial Sound 2.0, which improved mid-low frequencies.
Its Pro sibling, on the other hand, carries over most of these features but features electrochromic lenses. The lenses can be adjusted for various light levels and are the first mass-produced glasses to feature these types of lenses.
XREAL also introduced a red variant and seven different stickers for more personalization for both the Air 2 and Air 2 Pro.
