According to Mishaal Rahman (@MishaalRahman on Twitter/X), Android 14 will be launching on October 4, the same day the Pixel 8 series will be unveiled.

Google has reportedly delayed the release of Android 14 to next month and this decision was said to be made very late. Smartphone manufacturers were expecting it to be released today.
However, what isn’t sure exactly is why Google decided to delay the launch. It is speculated that there are unresolved issues in the fifth beta that were seemingly hastily released by the company.
This is just a rumor though. Google has yet to release an official statement and we’ll most likely learn more on or before October 4.
