There’s no better time than now to build a gaming pc thanks to the competitiveness of the CPU space and the dwindling prices of graphics cards. Today’s gaming pc build guide will have a decent Php 50,000 budget that’s not too low nor too expensive for most gamers. In pre-pandemic times, a Php 50k Gaming PC Build was already a high-end PC that can run any game at high settings with high framerates. Let’s see if today’s prices can build a triple-A gaming machine that’s not only for gaming but for productivity as well.

Php 50k Gaming PC Parts Selection Breakdown
CPU: Intel Core i5 12400F
The Intel Core i5 12400F processor remains to be one of the best value processors in the market despite the release of the Intel 13th Gen Core series and Ryzen 7000 series processors. For Php 10,350 you’re getting a multithreaded hexacore processor that’s more than enough to run the latest titles at 1080p. We simply choose the F variant of the i5 12400F to save up a few thousand pesos compared to the non-F model that has integrated graphics. Do note that in the benchmarks, we used the non-F model but the performance should be the same between the two processors as we didn’t use the iGPU of the non-F model.
Motherboard: ASRock B660 Steel Legend
The Steel Legend line from ASRock is still one of the most bang-for-back motherboards and the B660 Steel Legend is no exception. Its Php 9,000 price tag gets you decent connectivity, PCIe Gen 5 support, and support for even 13th-Gen Intel Processors. You can save up a few more bucks if you go for the mATX variant.
Memory: PNY XLR8 16GB(2x8GB) 3200MHz
The PNY XLR8 16GB kit is one of the cheapest DDR4 memory in the market that’s over 3000Mhz. Sure, you could go for a 3600MHz kit for a few hundred pesos more but 3200MHz is more than enough for gaming. Do however, get a 3600MHz kit if your budget permits or if you plan to use your gaming PC for productivity such as video editing and 3D modeling.
Storage: Samsung 980 512GB NVMe SSD
Samsung’s SSDs are one of the most reliable in the market. The Samsung 980 is a PCIe Gen 3 drive with 3,1000MB/s read and 2,600 MB/s write. Yes, they’re not necessarily the best value to performance drives at Php 3,500 price range but at the time of buying the build, the 980 was once the cheapest 500GB SSD with speeds over 3,000MB/s. A great alternative to the Samsung 980 is the Kingston NV2 SSD as it sports speeds that are slightly higher than Gen 3 drives thanks to its PCIe Gen 4 interface, all while being priced the same or even cheaper than the Samsung 980.
GPU prices have lowered since the death of Ethereum mining making RTX 30 series GPUs, especially the lower-end models very competitive again. For our Php 50k budget, the Galax RTX 3060 EX-White fills all the requirements thanks to its Php 20k price tag. Though we would’ve preferred getting a 3060 Ti, its average price of Php 25,000 will simply be too much as we want to get quality components to balance out the build with little compromise. That said, if you have the spare cash or even are willing to venture into the used market, then the 3060Ti is an ideal GPU for this build.
PSU: FSP Hydro GD 650W 80+ GOLD
Never do we compromise on the quality of power supplies and our build guides as it serves an important role in keeping your PCs safe, apart from keeping your electric bills low. For Php 4,000, we managed to score an FSP Hydro GD 650W 80+ GOLD ATX Power supply. The 650W capacity can easily handle our i5 12400F+RTX 3060 Ti combo with room to spare for an i7 and RTX 3070 upgrade.
Case: Tecware Forge S
PC Chassis selection in a build is almost always subjective. That said, we do still have some key factors to use as a guideline such as size, radiator support, fan support, build quality, and of course, price. Upgradability is one of the strengths in this gaming pc build and the case to house possible upgrades in cooler, GPU, and fan support in the future is the Tecware Forge S. Not only does it looks premium for its Php 3,120 price tag, but it also a bang for your back as it includes three 120mm RGB fans and comes in white too. A great alternative for the Tecware Forge S would be cases from another local brand, Rakk should you want to maximize the value of your budget.
50k Gaming PC Benchmarks
We used CapFrameX version 1.6.8 as our benchmarking tool. Nvidia 496.49 drivers were also installed. We benchmarked the i5 Intel Core i5 12400 and Galax RTX 3060 50k Gaming PC in both 1080p and 1440p resolutions to give you an idea of how a similar build would perform should you get the same core components. XMP Profile 1 setting of the PNY XLR8 DDR4 was applied for optimal results.
COUNTER-STRIKE: GLOBAL OFFENSIVE
Counter-Strike Strike: Global Offensive aka CSGO is a 10-year-old first-person shooter title that’s still widely popular despite its old Source Engine. CS:GO is a great game to test out CPU performance as the game is heavily CPU-dependent like any other FPS title. Our CS:GO benchmark process uses ULLETICAL’s FPS Benchmark workshop mod to measure the hardware’s performance.
Most gamers play at least one of the following free-to-play titles: League of Legends, CS: GO, Dota 2, and/or Fortnite. Dota 2 is a good representation of the F2P titles as it is the most demanding game in the spectrum. The benchmark will give you an idea of the graphic card’s relative performance on other lesser demanding titles. Our benchmark sequence is based on a replay of OG vs. Liquid in the TI9 grand finals from the team fight that happened from 28:30 to 29:30
Far Cry 5 & Far Cry 6

F1 2020 is the official video game of the 2020 Formula 1 and Formula 2 championships developed by Codemasters. F1 2020 is the twelfth installment in the franchise and uses the Ego Engine 3.0. F1 2020 is a good representation of racing games thanks to its realistic graphics and fairly demanding spec requirements.
HORIZON ZERO DAWN
Horizon Zero Dawn is one of the most popular console-port RPG developed by Guerilla Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. Horizon Zero Dawn is a multi-award-winning action RPG, and its popularity resulted in an exclusive Complete Edition game bundle on Steam.
Conclusion – Is it worth it?
Overall, we are more than happy with what we accomplished in our 50,000 peso budget as our i5 12400 + RTX 3060 50k Gaming PC was able to push frames over 120 FPS on 1080p and over 60FPS on 1440p. There’s a balance between the components with upgradability and compatibility in mind. That said, storage may be the first thing you’d upgrade on the 50k Gaming PC as the 512GB capacity will run out fast. The ATX form factor and cooling support on the Tecware Forge S allow the user to upgrade to a large air cooler or up to a 360mm AIO.
With this Php 50k Gaming PC Build, users have the flexibility to upgrade their components according to their needs in the future. The B660 chipset is compatible with Intel 13th Generation processors should you need more CPU power in the future. A cooler is also an option should you want to have longer clock speeds or pseudo-overclock your non-K CPU with ASRock’s BFB feature. The 650W Gold PSU ensures longevity and support to up to an RTX 3070 or potentially an upcoming RTX 4070(once launched) GPU.
